The Carrboro Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources Department is fortunate to have groups that contribute their time and effort toward specific issues and projects within our community.
Carrboro Parks Project
In 2009 the Carrboro Parks Project non-profit group completed its fundraising for a Disc Golf Course at Anderson Park, and the Course was dedicated in May with a celebratory tournament. This project was a community driven effort, with support of the Board of Aldermen (now Town Council). Previous projects were fundraising for tennis backboards at Wilson Park and Anderson Park, the fence at the dog park at Anderson and the shade sail for the playground at Town Commons.
