The Carrboro Film Festival was started in 2006 by Carrboro Arts Committee members Jackie Helvey and Nic Beery, with support from the Town Council, the Carrboro Tourism Development Authority, and the Carrboro Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources Department.
